I regularly give training and presentations, including to the organisations listed below. Key topics:
Networks, Change and Process Management
We live in a world full of interdependencies, many problems are ‘wicked’, there are always unforeseen developments. In such a world, knowing that there will always be resistance, how do you manage change? How to do this when radical, systemic change is desired – but the possibilities seem limited?
Framing
What is framing, what are patterns in the game of framing and reframing, how should we normatively evaluate framing? I introduce the concept, explore framing strategies and we can work with a case study and examples from participants.
Skills training ‘Pitching’
We train participants to deliver a substantive, inspiring speech or pitch along three lines: body (posture, voice), mind (content) and soul (emotion and passion). The body and soul elements are provided by professional senior actors, I sign up for ‘mind’. I contribute to the content of the speech and help to shape it, partly by using rhetorical stylistic devices. My contribution is based on my work on great speeches, but also on my experience of public sector challenges.
